Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of AppIn. The parts worth reading closely are what a link is allowed to point at, and what we do not warrant — both follow from the fact that everyone's links share one domain.
Agreement
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Zeisoft Yazılım Limited Şirketi (“AppIn”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Türkiye, covering your use of getappin.com, the AppIn dashboard, and the links you create on appin.to or on your own domain. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
What AppIn does
You create a short link. When someone taps it, an edge worker works out which destination fits their device and sends them there, and where it can, it gets the tap out of an in-app browser that would otherwise swallow it. Around that, the service provides:
- separate destinations for iOS, Android and desktop
- a landing page built from your app’s store listing, with a choice of layouts
- a custom slug, a QR code, and the option of your own link domain
- store-native campaign parameters — Apple’s
ctandpt, Google Play’sreferrer— assembled for you - click analytics per link
What AppIn is not
AppIn does no install attribution, no deferred deep linking and no fingerprinting, and there is no SDK to put in your app. If you need those, you need a mobile measurement platform — and its link can be the destination of an AppIn link.
Your account
You need an account to create links, and the details you give us must be accurate. Keep your credentials to yourself: activity under your account is your responsibility. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
What a link may point to
Mobile destinations are restricted, and this is deliberate rather than a technical limitation:
- iOS and Android destinations must be an app store listing, or a link on one of the attribution providers we allow-list.
- The desktop destination may be any address you control — it is the fallback for a visitor who cannot install the app anyway.
The reason is reputation. Every link on a shared domain inherits that domain’s standing with the platforms that carry it, and a domain that gets blocked takes every customer’s printed QR codes and published bio links with it. A general-purpose shortener is exactly the shape that attracts abuse, so AppIn is not one. We may refuse or remove a destination on that basis.
Acceptable use
You may not use AppIn to publish, or to link to:
- malware, viruses, or other disruptive software
- phishing, spoofing, or any attempt to obtain someone’s credentials, payment details or personal information by deception
- child sexual abuse material, or the solicitation of minors
- content that promotes terrorism, or that threatens, encourages or promotes violence
- content that attacks people or groups on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, sex or gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or medical condition
- content that promotes or encourages self-harm, suicide, or disordered eating
- pornographic or sexually explicit content, and intimate content published without the subject’s consent
- unlicensed gambling
- the sale of illegal or regulated goods and services
- pyramid schemes, multi-level-marketing recruitment, or deceptive earnings claims
- somebody’s private information published without their consent
- impersonation of another person, app, company, or of AppIn itself
- material that infringes anyone’s intellectual property rights
- unsolicited bulk messaging, in any medium
- cloaking: disguising where a link goes, or repointing a published link in order to get past a platform’s review or ours
- content that breaks the rules of the app store or platform the link is published on
- anything else the law where you or your visitors are forbids
And about the service itself: do not scrape it, overload it, interfere with it, work around the limits of your plan, or resell or redistribute it without our written agreement. Do not open another account to get around a suspension or a ban.
This is a list of what is not allowed. It is not a list of what we detect — the two are different, and the next section says what we actually do.
Where your links go is your responsibility
AppIn forwards a visitor to a destination you chose. We do not control what is at the other end, we do not review it for quality, accuracy or legality, and we are not responsible for its content, its availability or what it does with the visitor’s data — that is between the visitor and whoever runs it. You are responsible for the destinations you publish and for having the right to send people to them.
Nothing in these terms obliges us to examine a destination, and looking at one is not an endorsement of it.
Slugs, and other people’s names
A custom slug is first come, first served, but it is not a claim on a name. We may rename or disable a slug that infringes a trademark or trade name, uses someone’s name or likeness without permission, or is likely to be mistaken for a company, product or person it has nothing to do with. Where we can, we will tell you first; where a third party’s rights are at stake, we may act immediately.
What we do about a link that breaks these terms
Every AppIn link shares one domain, so a destination that breaks these terms puts every other customer’s links at risk: a platform blocks the domain, and the block takes effect before the click reaches us. A blocked domain cannot be undone by a redirect, which is why the rule about where a link may point is enforced on every save, and why the rest of this section exists.
What that rule does not do is inspect what sits behind an address. Nothing is fetched from a destination in order to judge it, and no address of yours is sent to anyone else for a verdict on it. What we look at is what somebody brings to us — a report about a link, and then the destination it names.
Where a link breaks these terms, we stop it from resolving. That is the ordinary response, and it is deliberately the smallest one: we are a redirect service rather than a host, so the thing we control is the link, not what is at the other end. Stopping a link stops it everywhere it was published, printed QR codes included, and it can be put back.
Where the conduct rather than one link is the problem — somebody who repeatedly publishes destinations that break these terms, or who sets out to evade us — we may suspend the account, which stops it creating new links while the links it already has keep working, or ban it, which stops every link it has published and closes it to signing in. A ban can be lifted. Where a link puts the link domain at risk we may act without telling you first.
Each of these is a decision a person makes about one case, and each is recorded with a reason. We do not publish a number of breaches that triggers any of them, because there is no number — how deliberate a breach is matters more than how many there have been.
Reporting a link, and appealing a decision
If you have found an AppIn link being used for something on the list above, report it at getappin.com/report. It takes no account and no address — the form asks for the link, what is wrong with it, and a way to reply only if you want one. There is a link to the same form at the bottom of every AppIn link page. Platform and app store abuse teams can write to abuse@getappin.com instead, which reaches the same people.
Every report is recorded and read by a person, who opens the destination and decides. We do not publish a response time, and we would rather say that than publish one we cannot keep.
If we have stopped a link of yours or closed your account and you think we got it wrong, write to hello@getappin.com. A person reads it, and we would rather reinstate a link than lose a customer to a bad call. There is no separate appeal form and none to find: it is the same address as our contact page, which the footer of every page links to, and it is the one to use if the dashboard will no longer let you in.
What we look at is the destination a customer published — their own submission. We do not screen, profile or record the people who click a link; what a tap does and does not record is set out in the privacy policy.
Plans, billing and renewal
The current plans and their prices are published on this site and form part of these terms. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, which makes Dodo the seller of record for your subscription; their terms apply to the transaction alongside these.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. If we change a price we will tell you in advance, and the change takes effect from your next billing period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which also forms part of these terms.
Availability, and what we do not warrant
The service is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not currently offer a service level agreement or a guaranteed support response time, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Support runs through one address, hello@getappin.com, and we answer as quickly as we can. We may take the service down for maintenance, and will give notice where that is possible.
One limit deserves naming rather than burying. Getting a tap out of an in-app browser depends on the behaviour of applications we do not control, and a platform can change that behaviour at any time. We measure the technique on real devices and re-measure when something moves, but we cannot warrant that any particular hand-off will keep working. The same applies to app store listings, whose content and availability belong to the stores.
Intellectual property
The service, its software and its content are ours. You keep every right in the material you provide — your links, your destinations, your app’s listing details — and you grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you, including serving your landing page to visitors.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in line with these terms.
Third parties, and whose names appear here
AppIn depends on services we do not run: the edge network and hosting behind the product, Dodo Payments, and the app stores your links point at. We are not responsible for their availability or their practices, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.
We name platforms — the App Store, Google Play, Instagram, TikTok and others — because a product that gets links out of in-app browsers cannot be described without naming them. Those names belong to their owners. AppIn is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Zeisoft Yazılım Limited Şirketi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including lost installs, lost revenue or the consequences of a link that stopped working.
Indemnity
You agree to hold Zeisoft Yazılım Limited Şirketi and its people harmless from claims, damages and costs arising out of your use of the service, the destinations you publish, or your breach of these terms.
Termination
You may stop using AppIn at any time. On termination, paid access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, your links stop resolving, and your account data is handled as described in Data protection and deletion.
Force majeure
We are not liable for a failure or delay caused by something outside our reasonable control — network and power outages, the failure of a provider we depend on, cyberattacks, natural disasters, war, or acts of government.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here takes away the consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
Before anything formal, write to hello@getappin.com. Most disputes are a misunderstanding that a reply resolves. Anything strictly about a payment can also go through Dodo Payments’ own process, since Dodo is the seller of record.
Severability, and the rest
If a provision of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation of the business, and it will bind whoever takes it on.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Significant changes are notified to account holders by email, and the date at the top of this page moves. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
