Send AppIn clicks to TikTok
A pixel code and an access token, and your clicks reach TikTok as server events.
TikTok documents the destination itself in its Events API 2.0 docs; this page is about the two values AppIn needs from it.
What you need
- Your Pixel Code
- An Events API access token
Where to find them
TikTok Events Manager → Web Events → your pixel → Settings. The Pixel Code is on that page, and Generate Access Token is on the same screen.
What to enter in AppIn
Settings → Measurement → Add destination, choose TikTok, paste both. Defaults are
ViewContent for a link view and ClickButton for a store redirect.
How to check it worked
Events Manager → your pixel → Events. Ours arrive with Events API as the
source.
The mistake people make
Leaving the ttclid macro off your ad’s destination URL. The event still arrives and
still counts, but TikTok has far less to match it to a person with, so your reporting
gets thinner for no reason. Turn the click ID macro on and it travels through the
AppIn link by itself.
